pets - 2006/07/19 05:41 what are your views on this?
alot of apartments/condos have strict rules on people owning animals.

and some of these rules are in a grey area of the law..what is and isnt aloud in a lease.

which leaves alot of animals homeless on moving day.

what is it like where you live?

Re:pets - 2006/07/20 21:28 In the UK people are fairly tolerant about pet ownership, especially if it's dogs or cats, and not too many of them. Two or three is alright, but more than this will be raising eyebrows.

I think landlords generally accept that their tenants might have a cat or a dog. I don't recall anything specific about tenancy agreements I have seen, except for one which said you could keep one cat or dog, but no more.

Re:pets - 2006/07/29 08:59 thats really interesting.

it is getting harder and harder to find a place that will accept dogs over here. (in quebec)

really awful.

Re:pets - 2006/07/29 20:00 I am surprised. I haven't heard of that trend here. But it is possible that some landlords don't allow pets. I probably haven't noticed because I have not been looking for rented accommodation since I got my own place.

Re:pets - 2006/08/01 10:56 It's a split level apartment - meaning that we have an upstairs and a downstairs.

The building is lovely, really nice neighbours, and a large garden.
