 Kitchens and bathrooms - 2006/07/23 17:25 A decent kitchen and bathroom tends to attract good tenants. Some of the properties I have been looking at have quite scruffy kitchens and antiquated bathrooms, so I am going to have to think about updating these.

For fitted kitchens, IKEA seem to offer the best at an affordable price.

Any advice on bathrooms?

im a fan of home depot for the hardware part...

ikea and walmart are great too for prices.

 Re:Kitchens and bathrooms - 2007/06/06 12:31 Just a bit of advice but always go for a white suite when buying new bathrooms... if you want some color you could always paint the walls or something but if you buy a colored bathroom suite and the tenant you are hoping to attract doesnt like it , more often than not you will loose them...

Black / white/ grey i find are always a winning formula when it comes to bathrooms


And dont buy the most expensive one in the shop...

 Re:Kitchens and bathrooms - 2007/06/24 06:10 I watch a lot of the do it yourself channels and have heard on the shows that the bathroom and the kitchen are the keys rooms in a rental. If these rooms are "ugly" then it is more likely that you will not rent the home.
