The quiet village of Pendeen is situated between St Ives & Lands End and surrounded by spectacular land and seascapes. It has a good bus service that will enable you to explore both locally and further afield.
Pendeen is within an Area of Outstanding Beauty and is also within a World Heritage Site. The now closed Geevor tin mine is now a major museum and interpretation centre.

The coastal footpath is close by and takes you to the 'local' beach at Portherrras cove. This is a secluded bay with good swimming. It has a cave for exploring and its own waterfall.

The village has a local store, doctors surgery, fish & chip shop, restaurant, Post Office & 2 pubs. Also a primary school, gem and mining museum and a gallery and pottery. The village also has a Village Hall, Community Centre and the Women's Institute.

Pendeen also has its own football club, Pendeen Rovers, that has its own pitch and Social Club that is open to all. The village also has its own Gig Rowing Club and Silver Band.

Also the small town of St Just offering a range of shops and art galleries is only 2miles away. It also has a library and Sports Centre. Penzance is approx. 9 miles. There is a good local bus service and regular trains from Penzance to London and other parts of the country.
