Argentina, Catamarca 720.000 Yards2 with various minerals

The eastern province of Catamarca and the SE part of the project 650Tha (Fig. 1) are among the sierras Pampin (Sierras Pampeanas), an independent geographically and geological unit (Fig. 2, red). It does not belong to the Andean Cordillera outcropping here, but the Argentine continental core, similar to E. South Shield and consists of Precambrian-Paleozoic methamorphen series and intrusive rocks. Here are gneisses, crystalline schists, phyllites, slates and quartzites, which are penetrated by granites, diorites and basic Amphibolgesteinen and crossed by numerous pegmatitic and pneumatolytic-hydrothermal veins. These have for the mineral (beryl, lithium, tin, tungsten) local significance in the Sierra de Ancasti. Tin, tungsten and uranium mineralization occur in the sierras of Fiambalá and Zapata in the south east of the project 650Tha. In the tertiary Pampin sierras were decomposed by the NS extensional fractures extending into floes. The high-altitude ice floes form the sierras, for example by Ancasti west of San Juan, Sierra Ambata in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, the Sierra de Belen and the Sierra de Fiambalá (650Tha in the project). The lowered floes, the trenches are filled with the detritus of the sierras and form the western foothills of Pampa (Fig. 2, yellow). In the Tertiary (Miocene-Pliocene), it came to the quarries to igneous intrusions and extrusions. Volcanoes and subvolcanic are lined up along the NS-trending faults. Particularly the sub-volcanic porphyries (granodiorites, dacites) are impregnated by hydrothermal
 ore solutions with copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, lead, manganese and zinc. These so-called copper-porphyry have a large mountain of economic importance to the province of Catamarca, Region de Agua Dionoisio (Bajo de la Alumbrera deposit, Agua Rica). Whole surface: 720.000 Yards 2
